Philip J. Zember Jr., 66, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2025, at home, with his companion, Patti Paul, by his side.
Born in Philadelphia, Philip was the son of Philip J. Zember Sr. and Doris (Hoy) Zember. He built a strong work ethic early in life, working for a time as a pipe fitter before dedicating many years to UGI, where he was employed as an HVAC technician until his retirement in December 2020.
Phil was an avid outdoorsman who found joy and peace in hunting and fishing. He deeply appreciated nature and spent much of his free time outdoors, pursuits that reflected his independent spirit and love for the simple pleasures of life. He was a big fan of the Eagles and the Phillies.
In addition to his companion, Patti, he is survived by his brother, Michael Zember of Denver, PA, his sister, Cheryl Hull, and her husband Kelly of Nags Head, NC; uncle Jay Rinaldo and aunt Mary K. Rinaldo; nephew Derek Rinaldo and his wife Emily; niece Dana Quinn and her husband Mike; as well as several beloved grandnieces and grandnephews.
Philip was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Van Kouteren, who passed in 1993.
He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of the outdoors, and his quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.A Celebration of Phil's Life will take place at a later date.
