Phillip Borges III

On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, Philip Borges III (Traci) passed at age 81. In loving memory of Traci Borges, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, whose deep love for his family and unwavering passion for music touched the lives of many. Survived by his devoted wife, Dale Borges, three children, Philip Borges IV (Sonny), Jason Borges and Michelle Lombardi and six adoring grandchildren, Alyssa Borges, Madelyn Borges, Emma Borges, Stella Borges, Christian Sechser and Julie Lombardi and preceded in death by his recently departed brother, Daniel Borges, mother, Florence Borges and Father Philip Borges II.
Traci was born and raised in the vibrant rhythms of New Orleans. His soulful connection to music led him to establish the renowned Knight Recording Studios in Metairie, Louisiana where he recorded the likes of Sammy Davis Jr., Pete Fountain, Al Hirt, Doug Kershaw, Jean Knight, The Cold and countless other local musicians as well as his own music which he created throughout the years from his teenage years until the time of his passing. Beyond his musical pursuits, Traci was a man who found his greatest joy in the warmth of family. His unwavering love for his wife and children was the cornerstone of his being and his grandchildren were the melody that continued his life's song. Traci's warmth and compassion touched the lives of many. With open arms and a heart full of love, he welcomed all into his life, leaving an indelible mark on those around him.
His legacy of kindness, musical creativity, and love of his family will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for the beautiful soul he was. May his spirit find eternal peace and may the harmonies he created live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
