Phillip Byrd Obituary
He is survived by his daughter, Caitlin Byrd; brother, Stephen Byrd (Rose); and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Phillip was an exceptionally talented pianist and writer. He also had the most beautiful handwriting. If you know Phillip, he enjoyed playing Southern Gospel and hymns on the piano.
He always made us laugh when he imitated other pianists, such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Charles, and Jimmy Swaggart. Phillip never met a stranger, loved to help others and was always a good friend. In his younger years, he was an evangelist and pastor. He loved the Lord with all of his heart. As Phillip would say, 'It Is Well with My Soul'.
A memorial service celebrating Phillip's life will be held at 11:00 Am Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Cemetery conducted by Reverend Jimmy Burroughs. The family will receive friends after the service by the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Central Winnsboro, PO Box 145, Winnsboro, SC 29180.
