Phillip E. Davis, 54, departed this life unexpectedly on Saturday June 3, 2023, at his home in St. Pauls, NC. He was born in Bladen County on January 7, 1969.
He is survived by his loving wife Marjorie, daughter Sydney (Tyler) Bellflowers, and "his favoritest little boy" grandson Grayson Bellflowers, of St. Pauls. He is also survived by his parents, James and Marie Davis of Elizabethtown, NC, sisters Lisa (Larry) Long of Clayton, NC, Carrie (Burt) Brisson of Elizabethtown, NC, nephews Tanner Long & Thad Brisson, niece Ava Brisson and a host of family and friends.
Phillip retired from his position at Lumberton Correctional Institute on May 1, 2023 after serving 27 years with the Department of Corrections for the State of North Carolina. He was a devoted family man, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and uncle. He was a talented artist and when he could find the time, an avid fisherman. Phillip's love for his family was unwavering and his favorite days were spent with his grandson.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday June 7, 2023, at McNeill Legacy Funeral Home in St. Pauls. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 AM, prior to the service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Pauls Fire Department and St. Pauls Rescue.
