To the Family & Friends of Phillip
Haglund my family and I would like
to extend our most deepest sorrow
on the loss of this Precious Man.
I worked at a Body Shop in S'port
for family members and each year
when he and Beechy would travel to
Louisiana I would write a Christmas
Letter for them to their friends &
this would be the highlight of my
Chrismas Season to see Mr. Phillip
so happy at the finished letter.
What a great family he had and I
know each of you will miss him in
your own way as I will, but His
ranch is in Heaven now and May He
enjoy His time with God. May He
rest in Peace Until we all join
him in the future. I loved Him so.
Please know I shall never forget
Him and his family...Never!!

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Philip G. Haglund, Sr. our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Philip. And to Philip it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during WW-II while serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp Philip we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,355 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Philip’s family and loved ones.

To the Haglund Family,
What a loving legacy you have in your dad and the fond memories we have of him and Beachy. He was truly a special man, always interested in others more than himself. He was a fine example of the model of Christ. May you find comfort in the special way he made each of you feel, and the way he believed in each of you.
