Phillip Michael Kenney, 78 of Aurora, CO passed away peacefully at Denver Hospice on October 21, 2025.
Phil was born on January 22, 1947 in Lynn, MA to John and Mary Kenney. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 12 years. After his time in the military, he held various Accounting positions with the US Government.
He married his wife, Elaine in 1968 and they shared 56 years together. Phil had a passion for outdoor hobbies, especially radio control cars, boats and airplanes. These hobbies provided him a great opportunity to showcase his BBQ’ing skills. He also held many “Chili Cook Off” titles.
Phil is survived by his wife Elaine; and their children Scott (Jennifer), Michael and, Shawn (David). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Further survived by his brother Leo Kenney. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Kenney.
Phil was loved by so many friends, colleagues and family. He always had a positive, happy way of going about his days. He was a kind man with a big heart, always willing to lend a hand.
