Phillip Bryan May, 86, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away March 18, 2026. He was born May 16, 1939, in Salyersville, Kentucky.

Mr. May was a dedicated telecommunications manager with United Telecommunications, where he spent many years helping usher in the digital age. In the early 1980s, he contributed to the transition from analog systems to digital technology and fiber optics. Following his retirement, he became a real estate broker and was active in the community, including writing newspaper articles addressing real estate topics.

He also served for many years on the board of ARC and worked tirelessly with the local chapter, supporting individuals and families in the community.

He was known as a smart, hardworking individual who got things done, and above all, as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne May; sons, Joe May and Stephen May; daughters-in-law, Marsha May and Beth May; grandchildren, Stephen May (Amy May) and Sarah Yarbrough (Hunter Yarbrough); and great-grandchildren, Eden Yarbrough, Annie Yarbrough, Caleb Yarbrough, Olivia May, and Lennon May.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
