Phillip Keith Medlin

Goldsboro – Phillip Keith Medlin, 64, departed this life Saturday, May 18, 2024 at UNC Johnston Hospital. Born March 25, 1960 in Durham NC, he was the son of the late Harold and Ruby Medlin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his bonus son Allen Michael
Phillip was no stranger to work. He worked for many years at Walmart in shipping and receiving. He enjoyed his time there and remained there as long as his health allowed.
An avid lover of sports, Phillip was a true fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was overjoyed at their Super Bowl win this year. Even though he loved football, his true passion was for baseball. Phillip loved all things baseball. His favorite team was the NY Mets and he made sure anyone he talked to knew it.
Phillip loved his family with all his heart. Family for him was not just blood relatives, but his church family as well. He was a proud member of Harvest Fellowship Church. He loved talking with his pastor, not just about the Lord, but wouldn't you know it, BASEBALL! They shared a common bond as it relates to baseball in that they both played semi-pro baseball. They would talk often sharing dugout stories and how many runs they made.
His memory will forever linger in the heart sof his beloved bride, Shannon Medlin; bonus daughter, Brittany Mace; bonus grandchildren, Chloe, Dylan, Raelyn, and Sawyer; father and mother in love, Bayard and Kaye Woodard; his sweet and spoiled fur babies, Gracie, Sampson, Rocky, Sheba, Misty, Nolanryan, and Luna; and other relatives and friends.
