Phil as we called him in high school was my best friend. We cruised around and his Mustang and I had one too. My parents organized a ski trip with Phil and his brother Doug to Winter Park Colorado. After the trip we missed our bus in the middle of the night in the middle of a snowstorm and had to hitch a ride down to the Denver Airport. Our chains kept breaking and Phil was the only one with shoelaces to tie them together. Fortunately we made it to the airport after a 5-hour weather delay. I also remember working in his dad's clothing store at the ranch Mart Shopping Center and Leawood Kansas. Mark Virden. Overland Park Kansas

I had the honor and privilege of knowing Dr. North when I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath in England. He directed our production of Neil Simon's Chapter Two, We were fortunate enough to tour our production to several military installations across Europe. Phil said he cast me because at my audition I reminded him of Richard Dreyfuss (I still get that alot). I will miss him. I am still doing theater and I think of those days at RAF Lakenheath and Dr. North frequently. My deepest condolences to his family.
