Phillip Overman Obituary
He was born in Jonesboro on December 29, 1953, but grew up in Caraway. He was of the Methodist belief. Most of his work career was as a carpenter and plumber. He loved his family first. Then he loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sara (Carner) and Ruben Harrison Overman.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Cathy (Reed) Overman; daughter Brittany Overman and fiancé Mason Gipson; the love of his life, his new granddaughter 2-week-old Aubrey May Gipson; brothers Roger Keith Overman, of Jonesboro, and Ruben Harrison Overman Jr, of Lobelville, TN; sisters, Beth E. Shoupe (Ronald), of Paragould, and Leslie Gail Jones (David) of Jonesboro.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 am Friday, April 8, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home. A visitation will precede the service from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery.
