Phil was a big part of my youth. Justin started at Hanahan in Middle school and he and I became quick friends. I spent a lot of time at their house over our high school years and Phil was always there to support Justin and all of us in all of our sporting activities, fishing, and generally just hanging out. From time to time he would give out small bits of advice and fatherly guidance. I truly enjoyed all the time we spent together and now as an adult, I appreciate the time he gave to me and all of our high school friend group. Since high school, I think I only saw him 2 or 3 times, and really wish it would have been more. I'm also very sad that I'm just now learning of his passing and wasn't able to attend his service. Phil may you rest in peace and hopefully one day in the future we can share a big hug when we both meet up on the other side. Thank you for all you did for me as a young man...I will always be grateful to you for the time and support you gave me.

Phil was a positive role model on the soccer field and treated all the players equally. He motivated us for many years on that pitch. Wish I saw the obituary sooner. God bless you and your family.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Phillip. I pray for God´s blessings for his spirt and that God´s Grace will provide comfort and peace to the family as they grieve his loss. May the memories of the good moments of life that you shared with Phillip bring you smiles and help remember what a good man he was. My prayers are with you.

He was like a father to me growing up. He was very good to me when I needed it. I read this this too late to attend his service and I will always regret that. He was a fascinating and complicated man but I loved him. He was always good to me! I loved him.
