Phillip Dewayne Shackelford, 74, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on January 23, 2024. He was born on May 10, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Phillip was a self-employed contractor, dedicating his life to his work. He was known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail. His clients and Judy always appreciated him and his expertise and building whatever was needed or mentioned.
Outside of work, Phillip had a zest for life. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and singing, always making sure his voice was heard by everyone around him. His hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to unwind.
Phillip will be remembered for his thoughtful nature, kindness, and energetic spirit. He touched the lives of many with his warm personality and genuine care for others.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Kanady Shackelford, and his children: Phillip Shackelford Jr. and wife Nicole, Jolly Shackelford and wife Stephanie, Jerry Shackelford and wife Tracey, Dedra Twiner and husband Darren, as well as bonus children: Will James, Sunny James and wife Angel, Deborah Martin and husband David. He also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gaynell Shackelford, who he held dear in his heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Chapel of the Lake. The Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
