Phillip Connally White (also known as Phil), age 67, of Waco, Texas, passed away on January 6, 2026
Phil was born on July 17, 1958 in Waco to Howard White and Frances Phoenix White. He grew up in Waco, where he attended Richfield high school and enjoyed riding dirt bikes and running around with his friends.
In 1984, Phil married Carole Woolsten, and they shared 6 years together. In 1999, Phil remarried Laura Burglund and they spent 9 years together. He is survived by his children Phillip Andrew White, Justin Allen White, Chelsea Lynn White and Naomi White Landeros and 6 Grandchildren.
Phil spent much of his career working self-employed doing landscaping/lawn maintenance because it gave him the freedom to control his schedule and be there for his family and enjoy his life. He believed that life should be lived and he lived a fuller life and experienced more life than most people can dream of.
Everyone who know him, knew he loved riding his motorcycle. He began riding when he was 14 and never stopped. He rode his motorcycle all over the country and had a motorcycle trailer for when he needed to go to the store for more than he could fit in the saddle bags. When the doctor told him he shouldn’t ride a motorcycle anymore, he bought a can-am spyder so that he wouldn’t have to stop. Phil took his last ride less then a week before he passed. Nothing could keep him from riding his motorcycle.
Phil also loved the outdoors he loved going hiking and camping especially with daughter and dogs. He would happily go on a cross-country camping trip and take every backroad on the way.
Friends and family remember him for goofiness and dry humor, kindness, being able to talk about most subjects and making friends with anyone. He enjoyed helping people and would happily stop and help a stranger on the side of the road. He was also known for his stubbornness and always being late. He stubbornly refused to believe the doctors when they told him he had only a little bit of time left and proved them wrong over and over again.
Phil was preceded in death by Howard White, Frances Phoenix White and Kathy White.
A Remembrance Gathering will be held on January 17, 2026 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home beginning at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
