Philomena Adams

Philomena "Penny" Adams, 95, of Umatilla, Fla., formerly of Washington, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Florida. She was born August 2, 1930, in Washington, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Slettzer Phillips. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her sister, doing word search puzzles, and spending time with family. She especially enjoyed visits from her only grandchild, Courtney Suhay. Surviving are a daughter, Paula (Tom) Suhay of Umatilla. She loved her dog, Chewie. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family having been preceded in death by sisters, Ann and also Kaye Haurand, Julia Alsko, Helen Bury and Mary Worrel. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue, Washington. A blessing service will follow the visitation on Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be held in Washington Cemetery.
