Phyllis J. Baade, 87, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She was born on September 26, 1938 to John and Lucille (Eikelberner) Sanders in Cass County, Indiana and grew up on the family farm.
For 10 years, Phyllis worked as an accounts payable clerk for ITT Aerospace in Fort Wayne, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Noblesville First United Methodist Church, where she was involved in the Susanna Circle and Widows in Grace. Phyllis volunteered at Riverview Hospital and was a member of the Noblesville Kiwanis Golden K, the Hamilton County Extension Homemakers, and the Pink Ladies. She loved collecting snowmen and putting together puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters, Jantina "Jan" (Scott) Hartzell, and Kim Marie (Larry) Schwering; grandchildren, Trent (Megan) Hartzell, Kasey (Travis) Johnson, David (Elizabeth) Schwering, and Kevin Schwering; great-grandchildren, Zoey Hartzell, Parker Hartzell, Oliver Johnson, and Navy Schwering; and her sister, Marjorie J. Walrod.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Baade; sister, Ruby Molden; brothers, Keith E. Sanders and Paul E. Sanders; and her brother-in-law, David Walrod.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with services at 12:00 pm, on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville. Rev. Mary Eileen Spence will officiate. Burial will follow at 2:30 pm at Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
