Phyllis “Cookie” Bartashnik passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Harvey Bartashnik, with whom she now reunites—walking side by side once again. Together in heaven, they join the whole gang she cherished so dearly, including her siblings Leona, Sunny, and Anne, along with Ruthy and Mickey.
Cookie was the devoted mother of Denise Bartashnik and the proud and loving Mom-Mom to Jordan Torres Sr. Her greatest joy in life was being “Bubby” to her treasured great-grandchildren: Gabriella Torres, Jordan Torres Jr., Roman Torres, Jonathan Luis, and Giavanna Dean. Her family was her entire world. She loved fiercely, gave selflessly, and made everyone feel special with her warmth, strength, and unmistakable spirit.
Cookie had a heart that never stopped giving. Whether through her comforting words, her laughter, or the simple joy she found in being surrounded by those she loved, she created a home filled with warmth and belonging. Her love was steady, unconditional, and unforgettable. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, resilience, and deep family bonds that will carry on for generations.
Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Tuesday, February 24, 11:00 AM precisely at Shalom Memorial Park, 3573 Pine Rd, Huntington Valley, PA 19006.
Following the service, friends and family are invited to sit Shiva at the late residence of Phyllis. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing that Cookie is at peace, reunited with her beloved Harvey and embraced by those who went before her. Her love remains with us always.
