I was 14 when I met Phyllis. She was my second Mom for many years . Phyllis was my home and safe place. I always felt loved, accepted and comfortable with her. I recently visited Phyllis and Claude. When Phyllis said Hi Beth I teared up, and it brought back memories, I loved the way Phyllis would say my name. I remember getting ready for school, and I would hear Claude and Phyllis listening to KWIL. And at times I would hear Claude call up the stairs Phyllis come on down!!! After High School, Claudia and I work at a Nursing Home. Phyllis would get up early in the am and drive Claudia and I from Waterloo to Albany. Phyllis picked us up, Claudia and I could not wait to get in the car and see her. We had a blast laughing and telling Phyllis our funny experiences with the tenants that day. After work and dinner Claudia and I watch Lucille Ball and Lavern and Shirley and Phyllis made us the best Weight Watchers desert. I will always cherish the time Claudia and I would watch TV with Claude and Phyllis, hearing her laugh she had such a contagious and beautiful laugh. Claude and Phyllis had a awesome love for each other. Their love for each other made a influence in my life.During my young adult life, I wanted to have a marriage just like theirs. They were a wonderful example to me the way marriage should be. Through out the years they kept that bond and a example of The way God wants us to Love. During this time I have reflected how God has had a hand in my life I using Claude and Phyllis love to share to me.
Claude, Bruce, Joan, Joe, Gary Grandkids and Great Grandkids I´m sorry for the pain and grief you are feeling. Much Love and Thanks for Sharing Phyllis with me. She left a impact in my life. Much Love Beth
