On December 7, 2025, Phyllis Ann Miller, 83, was called home to be with the Lord. She lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible.
Phyllis was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. She shared her faith through kindness, compassion, and an unyielding trust in God’s plan.
Born to a loving family, she grew up surrounded by support and encouragement. Her quest to serve God led her to Valparaiso University, followed by Winebrenner Theological Seminary where she achieved her Master of Divinity degree. Phyllis has put her knowledge to work as a Minister, a Hospital Chaplain, and a Substance Abuse Counselor. Whether through volunteer work, mentorship, or simply lending a listening ear, she made a difference in the lives of those around her. Her passion and commitment were evident in every endeavor she undertook.
Phyllis was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert A Clark Sr., and Bernice (Muzzey) Clark; siblings, Barbara Mann (David), and Robert A Clark Jr., husband Thomas E Miller; daughter in law, Deanna (Yangouyian) Miller, and her beloved pup, Riley Jo.
Above all, Phyllis was a devoted family member and a loyal friend. She is survived by her children, Julie Bame (Bruce), and Michael Miller, along with 5 grandchildren, Zack Bame (Nicole), Brynelle Rowlands (Nick), Tyler Bame (Abby), Anthony Hinkle (Ashley), and Michael Miller. She was also blessed with 3 great grandchildren, Carter and Chase Bame, and Anthony Yangounian. The love, laughter, and wisdom she shared will remain with us forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to celebrate Phyllis Miller’s remarkable life. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and find comfort in one another during this difficult time. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will forever guide and inspire us. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
