Phyllis Croskey, a cherished soul known for her loving heart, adventurous spirit, and passionate embrace of life, was called to her heavenly home on September 16, 2025. Born on October 7, 1955, in Dearborn, Michigan, to Raymond and Dawn Stander, Phyllis grew into a woman of remarkable character and warmth.
Phyllis's life was a testament to her steadfast faith and the Christian values she held dear. She was a beacon of light and strength to her beloved family, including her devoted partner, Don Sennett, her treasured daughter, Wendy Rose, and her adored grandchildren, Randy, Brad, Cory, and Eric. Her life lit up the moment she was blessed to become a great grandmother, Bella and Conner brought her so much joy. Phyllis's love and guidance were the cornerstones that nurtured her family's growth and happiness.
Throughout her diligent career, Phyllis served the Dearborn public schools with unwavering dedication, ensuring that the halls and classrooms were cared for with the same love and attention she bestowed upon her own home. Her commitment to custodial care and maintenance spanned over 25 years, a legacy of hard work and pride in her contributions to the educational environment for countless students and staff.
Before her tenure in the schools, Phyllis honed her skills as a skilled welder at Ford Motor Company. Her craftsmanship was not only a display of her technical abilities but also a reflection of her strong work ethic and determination to excel in a field that demanded precision and strength.
Phyllis's zest for life extended well beyond her professional endeavors. She was an avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings, cheering them on with the same fervor she applied to every aspect of her life. Her love for Vegas and the thrill of gambling spoke to her adventurous nature, always ready for a bit of excitement and fun.
A dog mom to Max the rat terrier, Phyllis's compassionate heart had plenty of room for her furry companion, who was a constant source of joy and comfort. Her membership with the Hog Ridin' Fools motorcycle group allowed her to enjoy the freedom of the open road, often riding on the back of Don's motorcycle, feeling the wind and sharing moments of pure bliss with her partner and friends.
Phyllis will be remembered as a woman who lived fully, loved deeply, and embraced each day with passion. Her legacy is one of enduring love, a life rich with experiences, and the countless lives she touched with her kind and generous spirit.
