Phyllis Gwendolyn Jackson Davis, 86, and known to most as "Bim" died at her home with her family by her side late Friday evening. She is survived by her two sons and their wives; Ken Davis and Debra of Clinton, and John Davis and Gail of Faison; a sister, Debbie Jackson of Faison; her beloved grandchildren, Lauren Fulghum and husband Jimmie, Bradley Davis, Caitlin Davis, Cassidy Hatsell and husband Garrett, ll, Cole Kornegay, and Tyler Costin; great-grandchildren, Natalie Fulghum, Brooks Lore, Max Hatsell; step grandchildren, Kelly LaRue and husband Richard, and Wyatt LaRue.

Gwen is also survived by an aunt; Cynthia Shell; nieces, Lisa Jones and her husband, Timmy, and Taylor Jones; and two nephews, David Sutton, and Trevor Jones; and long-time family friend, Albert Kirby

She was preceded in death by her parents; Emmett and Mary Pinyatello Jackson; and her husband, Butch Davis. Gwen was known for her love for her family, and working in her yard tending to the flowers and gardening. She always cooked up those large country lunch's' for the family and farm help daily, and was a member of Faison United Methodist Church. Her passion was collecting and donating goods and had founded the Help Center in Faison, that later became a refuge and help to families suffering the devastating loss of house fire's.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 28, at 11 o'clock in the morning in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home, Albert Kirby will officiate the service with burial following in Faison Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday morning beginning at 9:30am, until service time. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers, Janet Silva and Charlotte Jenkins; along with Gentiva Hospice.
