Mrs. Del Muro was born on July 12, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Hassel & Katherine Ratliff. She was a retired surgical nurse who loved traveling, dancing, and fine dining.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Calhoun.
She is survived by her husband, Luis G. Del Muro; son, David (Deanna) Del Muro; daughter, Toni (Steve) Barrios; sister, Myrna Dougherty; and 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

I grew up knowing Luis Del Muro as a kid. He was always very nice and had an impact on my life. Luis will never know how he changed my life for the good Phyllis was good for him.

My aunt Phyllis, married to my uncle Luis (my mom's brother), was a beacon of warmth and hospitality in our family. I treasure the countless visits to their welcoming home in San Clemente throughout my childhood and beyond. Phyllis had a special way of making everyone feel at home with her delightful presence and genuine kindness.
One of my fondest memories is how she and Uncle Luis would make the effort to attend my musical performances, showing their support and love. These gestures meant the world to me.
Although we saw each other less frequently after their move to Tennessee in 2018, I'm grateful for our final reunion in June 2024, a precious memory I'll always cherish. Aunt Phyllis's welcoming spirit and friendship will be deeply missed, but her warmth lives on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
