Phyllis Brandon Draegert

Phyllis Brandon Draegert was born east of Akron CO at home to Clifford & Veda (Dodge) Brandon July 22, 1931. She was the 5th child of 12 Children at the age of 6 her dad took the family to the state of Washington where they lived at Onalaska WA. She attended school in town from 2nd grade until the end of 6th grade.

October 1943 the family moved back to the farm south of Akron CO. She attended school at Goldenrod through the 8th grade. Then high school years were at High Prairie High School graduating in 1949.

On August 10, 1949, she married Dean Draegert, they lived south of Otis, CO for a year. In 1950 they purchased their farm southeast of Brush, CO and made their home there until 1960. They had a farm sale and purchased a home in Fort Morgan, CO until 1961 then moved to Otis, CO while remodeling the house southeast of Brush, CO then moved back in 1962. To this union came four children Berdean, Pat, Curtis, and Crystal.

She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved her family very much and did her best to be a good wife & mother. There were 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her son Curtis husband Dean Draegert of 48 years and her parents Clifford & Veda Brandon. Sisters Veda (Ivis) Resler, Velma (Harold) Graves Marcelyn (Johnny) Patterson brothers Wayne (Betty) Brandon, John (Alvina) Brandon, Burnell (Chris) Brandon, Carol (Koleta) Brandon, and Earl Brandon. Survived by sister-in-law Leta Brandon, brothers Jim (Vicki) Brandon, Russell (LeAnn) Brandon, and Marvin (Carolyn) Brandon.

She is survived by her three children Berdean (Scott) Madsen of Glenwood Springs CO, Pat (Kathy) Draegert of Brush, CO and Crystal (Virgil) Graff of Fort Morgan CO. Grandchildren Ryan (Cara) Draegert Brush, Christy (Bob) Anderson Grand Junction, Todd(Amanda) Draegert Cheyenne WY, Angie (Matt) Jacopic Grand Junction, Aaron Graff Denver CO Amber (Matt) Legler Greeley Co,. Great Grandchildren Quinton & Delaney Draegert of Brush, CO Aiden and Avery Gutierrez, Addie and Tyler Draegert of Cheyenne WY, Keegan and Briley Anderson of Grand Junction, CO, Kayla and Josh Jacopic of Grand Junction, CO Landon and Miles Legler of Greeley, CO she is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

At her request there will be no service at this time. She will be laid to rest by husband Dean Draegert and son Curtis Draegert at the Brush Cemetery. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
