Phyllis Gibbs Obituary
Born January 12, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pa to the late John William and Phyllis Dailey McGowan. She leaves to cherish her memory sister Constance Buckner, daughter Kristine and husband James Wilson of Nevada, son Michael and wife Daphne Hetrick of Dover, granddaughters Jennifer Howard and fiance Charles Mock, K Nichole Howard, Maddie Hernandez Escobar and husband Raul, and grandson Michael Hetrick. She was also blessed with great grandson Kayden Webb, great granddaughters Kyleigh and Khloe Mock, nephew Owen Buckner with fiance Hannah Hoover and his daughter Madelyn.
Phyllis spent her career in retail management from as early as Two Guys Department Stores to Hanover House Industries eventually retiring from Goodwill Industries. She was loved and respected by all she knew and worked with.
A celebration of life service will be held, officiated by Pastor Fair of St Matthew Church, 839 W. Market St. York, Pa at 11:00am on August 11th. It will also be online at YouTube Channel @StMatthewLutheranChurchYorkPa. John W. Keffer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Memorial contributions can kindly be made to your choice of charity, Phyllis' favorites being many that supported children, animals and individuals needing a helping hand.
