Phyllis Bradner Hollar, 68, left us on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, with her loving husband by her side at ARMC. Phyllis was born on July 27, 1955 in Burlington, NC to Ruth and Bruce Bradner.
Phyllis was a very prominent and knowledgeable woman as she graduated from Alamance Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. Phyllis did a wide range of skillful jobs, such as a supervisor for the meat department for a grocery chain. She also worked for the Clerk of Court in the department handling Chapter 13 cases. Phyllis could truly solve any problems with her vast range of knowledge.
She truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures, always spending time with her friends and her beloved husband. She deeply loved going to Greater Love Church where Pastor Ron Harris and his wife, Pat made her feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. Phyllis had an unmatched ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Many times she adopted people and kept them close in her heart and prayers. Phyllis spent countless hours in her yard with her beautiful flowers, she had a love for that and it showed.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Kenneth “Kenny” Hollar of the home; daughter, Carrie Lynn Rudd and husband, Tim of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, Cole Phelps of Myrtle Beach, SC and her green eyed Chihuahua, “Isabell; sister-in-law, JoAnne Bradner of Burlington and her nephew, Clinton and niece, Candice; numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Phil Bruce Bradner.
A service to celebrate Phyllis’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Pine Hill Cemetery by Pastor Ron Harris. Family and friends and others whose lives she touched are invited to the service to reminisce, grieve and support each other.
