Ms. Phyllis Stout Hurst, age 75, of Rockwood, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ yesterday on Monday, December 8, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 25, 1950 to James "Punk" Stout and Mary Ruth "Tude" Kelly Stout in Kingston, TN. She became a CNA at Rockwood Healthcare for about 15 years. Phyllis enjoyed the mountain views especially in Gatlinburg and she loved spending time with her family and loved ones every chance she could. The last few months she had a heck of a battle with cancer, but she fought it fiercely. She is greatly missed and loved by so many. She is preceded in death by her parents: James "Punk" Stout and Mary Ruth "Tude" Stout; brother: Jim Stout; and sister: Maggie Vanhook. She is survived by:

Cremation arrangements have been made and a Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Clymersville Baptist Church in Rockwood, TN Fellowship Hall from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude’s Research Hospital. Evans Mortuary is honored to serve the family of Ms. Phyllis Stout Hurst.
