Phyllis Brooks Lambert, 85, of Concord, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at her home in Concord. Phyllis was born on June 11, 1940, in Big Lick, North Carolina, to the late Lane Washington Brooks and the late Ruth Ann Austin Brooks. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Dwayne, and her sisters, Judy Smith and Nadine Hartsell.
Phyllis was the bright, shining star of her family and the apple of her precious husband’s eye. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love knew no bounds. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, and her unending love shone through every smile and twinkle in her eye. She raised her family with a firm hand and a soft heart. Her daughters-in-law were truly blessed, as she loved them as her own. Her wisdom, kind heart, good nature, and sense of humor guided her family for many years. She will always be remembered with love by everyone whose life she touched.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord located 601 Mt. Olivet Rd., Concord, NC 28025, officiated by Rev. Lewis Whittington.
Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-nine years, Harvey Lambert; her sons, Gary Lambert (Jill); Mike Lambert (Becky); her sisters, Cat Smith and Wanda Smith; and her brother, Melvin Brooks. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rachel Lambert, Jack Lambert, Justin Lambert, and Kayla Lambert, as well as five great-grandchildren.
