Phyllis Edwards Melton

Phyllis Edwards Melton Campobello Phyllis Edwards Melton, 67, of Campobello passed away Sunday, February 13th, at her residence following an extended illness. Phyllis was born in Spartanburg on January 28, 1955, a daughter of the late Estern Virginia Pruitt Miller and Glenn Allen Edwards, Sr. She was the wife of Furman Melton. Phyllis had worked as a medical secretary and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church where she also served as a Sunday School Teacher. In addition to her husband, Phyllis is also survived by two daughters; Tiffany Danielle Wood and her husband, Josh of Spartanburg, Amber Nicole Edmonds and her husband, James of Inman, a brother; Glenn Allen Edwards, Jr and his wife, Natalia of Spartanburg, a sister; Baranda Murray and her husband, Dale of Mt. Pleasant, N.C., and four grandchildren; Daniel Wood, Anthony Wood, Annagrace Wood, and Autumn Edmonds. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her step father, Floyd Miller. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 16th with Rev Matthew Bishop officiating at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
