Phyllis Jean Moore, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024, at the age of 85 in Lakeland, Florida. Born on January 26, 1939, in Monaville, West Virginia, Phyllis lived a life marked by love, loyalty, and a spirit of adventure.
Phyllis was a devoted wife to her late husband, Donald Ray Moore, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of memories and unwavering partnership. Though Donald preceded her in death, the legacy of their love continues to inspire those who knew them.
In her professional life, Phyllis was a respected product inspector at Owens-Brockway Bottling Company. Her colleagues admired her for her hardworking nature and her unwavering commitment to quality.
Phyllis's niece, Virginia Curtis, remembers her aunt as a woman of great warmth and kindness. Virginia, along with the extended family and friends, will miss Phyllis's presence dearly but will cherish the countless memories they have shared.
An avid traveler, Phyllis relished the opportunity to explore new places. She found joy in going on cruises and traveling within the United States, always seeking to experience the beauty and diversity of the world around her.
Phyllis Jean Moore's life was a testament to the enduring power of kindness and the profound impact it can have on the world. She will be deeply missed, but her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Lanier Funeral & Cremation Services. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Serenity Gardens in Lakeland, Florida.
