Phyllis Ann Newell, 85, of Howell, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Nov. 8, 2025.
She was born on March 31, 1940, in Elkhart, Indiana.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children, Lowell "Kenny" (Karen) Newell Jr., Catherine Galan, William Newell Sr. and Christine (Dana) Woodson; her cherished grandchildren, Sarah (Jon Cook) Sharpe, Jacob Ohm, Zoey (Dennis Sherbrook) Humes, William (Gissele) Newell Jr., Kenlee Humes and Penelope (Greg Dennis) Galan; and her siblings, Margaret Timmons, Lois Miller, Alice Bontrager, Joyce Ternet, John Ward and David Ward. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Lowell; her daughter-in-law Carol Newell; and her siblings Harry Ward, Harold Ward, James Ward, Mary Sheibley and Ardith Higley.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 3 to 7 p.m. for visitation, at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Ave., Howell, MI, 48843. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
