Phyllis Jean Norton, 83 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. She was born in Terre Haute on June 15, 1940 to Milton Funkhouser and Alma Brown Funkhouser.
Phyllis loved to travel and work crossword puzzles, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Phyllis is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Ramsey (Jack) and Mandy Roush (Brad), as well as 6 grandchildren; Brett Ramsey (Patty), Taylor Ramsey, Ronnie Norton, Jr. (Miranda), Caleb Roush (Madison), Cassie Roush, and Caylie Roush, as well as 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Peggy Treisback, and 2 brothers, Milt Funkhouser and Frank Funkhouser. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald Wayne Norton, and her son Ronnie Wayne Norton.
Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 4:00 PM, with Pastor Kathy Roush officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the funeral home. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow services.
