Phyllis Pardi, 98, of Rumson, NJ, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Carmen J. Pardi (Cubby), her son Steven, her parents Elizabeth and Luigi Vinci, and her brother Nicola Vinci. She is survived by seven of her children: Elizabeth Fox, Mary Almestad, Joseph, Thomas, Laura Duprey, Michael and Christine; her 10 grandchildren, Brian, Scott, Ryanne, Lauren, Amanda, Samantha, Kevin, Alexandra, Douglas and Hannah; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother Louis Vinci. She is also survived by four nieces.
Phyllis was born and raised in Rumson and went to Rumson-Fair Haven High School. She was a parishioner at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, creating cherished memories for her family. After raising eight children, she worked at Little House early childhood center serving Riverview Medical Center hospital staff and their children, and at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 24 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ, 07701 (www.johnedayfuneralhome.com). Funeral Mass will be Friday, July 25, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 30 Ward Avenue, Rumson, NJ, 07760 (https://holycrossrumson.org/). Entombment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 100 Chapel Hill Road, Middletown, New Jersey 07701. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Phyllis Pardi to Lunch Break in Red Bank (https://lunchbreak.org/).
