Even after all these years since I last saw Phyllis I think of her often. Using the lamp she sent me, with special meaning, for my birthday one year; looking at things my dad made in ceramic classes where they met. She was so kind and fun. I miss her humor and her hugs. In loving memory of Phyllis, my friend/sister/stepmom. R.I.P. Phyllis

Phyllis was a very special lady to me. I use to call her my sister/friend/stepmom. I met her through my father in the Sacramento California area way back in the 1970s.

Phyllis was a consummate professional and an expert on compliance, as well as an excellent writer. She contributed numerous articles to the CT HFMA newsletter while I had the privilege to serve as its editor. As our interactions became more familiar, I grew to very much like and greatly respect her. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry, shocking news. My father, a Jerry, died today and I was trying to find Phyllis. I was sure that I had spoken to her earlier this year. Sending your family our condolences and good wishes.

I was saddened to learn about the loss of Phyllis from the community of those who were passionate about improving health and health care through a thoughtful foundation of policy and appropriate use of technology. She was one of the best at identifying practical policy solutions for tough problems and certainly will be missed but certainly not forgotten. We owe her a tremendous debt for her unselfish contributions in this important space.

I am so sad to learn of Phyllis's passing. She and I were in a romantic relationship a very long time ago but it seems like just yesterday. We were together at Penn State and then as graduate students in Boston and Ithaca. We shared dreams and goals for lives not yet lived but I never dreamed I would be writing a note in memoriam.
Phyllis was my first serious love. I remember her as smart, sensitive, idealistic, hard-working. We shared the excitement and rebellious energy of the sixties at Penn State and then I had the pleasure of watching her become a strong, confident woman while at Cornell. It has been over forty years since we were together as a couple but my memories of Pat will stay with me. She will be, for me, forever young.
My sympathies to Julia, Dick and the rest of her family and friends.
