John Burkhart Obituary
John Henry Burkhart, 84, of McLeansville, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Born April 13, 1941, in Henry County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Arthur Charles Burkhart and the late Annie Elizabeth Wray Burkhart.
John is survived by his sons, Stacy Burkhart and wife Tammy of Trinity, and Dean Burkhart and wife Tina of High Point; sister, Marie Stewart of Greensboro; grandchildren, Brandi Burkhart, Schyler Burkhart, Charles Burkhart, Emily Burkhart, and Brianna Burkhart; great-grandchildren, Airiane Burkhart, Jamirah Cooper, Jayce Cooper, and a great-grandchild on the way.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Johnna Kay Burkhart, brothers, Glen Burkhart, Richard Burkhart, and Walter Burkhart; sisters, Audrey Simpson, and Sarah Terry.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 4, 2025, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Shad Cockman officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
