Phyllis Louise (Brown) Richards aged 91, Of Eufaula Oklahoma peacefully passed away on November 8, 2025, at Eufaula Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born February 5,1934 in Chicago Illinois, she was daughter to Howard Hiram "Chick" and Agnes "Mae" (McGovern) Brown. Graduated from Lindblom High School in 1952, Worked as a licensed practical nurse in Illinois, Missouri. and Oklahoma with pride and compassion.
Phyllis married Everett Richards in 1953 in Joliet Illinois, had two children Cheryl and Randall. In 1972 married James A. Willie and added another son Joel to family.
Phyllis is survived by her sisters Marlene (Brown) Gaffney, and Jolene (Brown) Mazur of Illinois, her daughter Cheryl Rodriguez and her husband Benito of Illinois, Randall Richards of Illinois, and Joel Willie of Oklahoma. Grandchildren Michael Rodriguez and his partner Leida Yunda, David Rodriguez and his wife Erica, Benita Scheffki and her husband Chris, Lauren Richards, Sara Richards, Alex Richards Great-grandmother to eight all from Illinois, many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Chick and Mae Brown: her brother Daryl Brown; her dear aunt and uncle Earl and Louise Brown; along with paternal grandparents Clem and Maggie Brown and maternal grandparents Stella and Frank McGovern.
Phyllis will be remembered for her love of family and for her hard work and dedication, and a cowgirl spirit!
