Phyllis Jean Savatt

Age 86, of Bridgeville, formerly of Upper St. Clair and McKees Rocks, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. She is survived by her beloved husband, William H. "Sonny" Savatt, her son, Gregory (Megan) Savatt, her grandchildren, Sidney and Avery Savatt. Phyllis is preceded in death by her daughter, Dina Savatt, her grandson, Johnathon Watson, her brother, William Manning, and her parents, Glenn and Clara Manning. Phyllis was a very kind, intelligent, and hardworking woman. She started her career as a secretary at the Veterans Administration. She then went on to be a Doctor's Secretary and then working as an Assistant Director in the preschool at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Lastly, she was a Dental Assistant in a local dentist's office for many years, until her retirement. Phyllis was very talented. She enjoyed music, sewing, crafting, knitting, and was an amazing cook. She always participated in the Project Linus and knitted many booties and hats to donate to the Children's Hospital. She was also a very active member of her church, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Mt. Lebanon. Phyllis will be remembered for her caring nature, selflessness, and most of all love of family. She will be dearly missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 10AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1066 Washington Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15228. Interment will be private.
