Phyllis Shearn

Phyllis M. Shearn, age 84 of Clyde, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 12, 2025 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky after an illness battle. She was born February 25, 1941 in Newberry Michigan, the daughter of Cecil N. St. Clair and Lila J. (Nearanz) St. Clair.
Phyllis attended Clyde High School and then married the love of her life, Robert T. Shearn. Phyllis worked at Eaton Manufacturing a number of years before retiring. She was a dedicated member of Clyde Baptist Church for many years and later Grace Community Church of Fremont.
Throughout her time Phyllis enjoyed hobbies such as camping, traveling, teaching Sunday school, doing word searches and attending family activities. As years went on she became highly competitive while playing cards, Yahtzee and marbles with friends and family at home. Family get-togethers for holidays and any occasion delighted her with a full house.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister (Judy), brother (Hank) and son (Rex).
Phyllis is survived and missed by her loving husband Robert T. Shearn of 67 years; and her children Gary (Debra) Shearn and Brenda (Jamie) Zilles; eight grand-children (Tabatha, Samantha, April, Micah, Robert, Scott, Kimberly and Michalea); 22 great grand-children and two great-great grand-children.
A graveside service to remember Phyllis will be held at a later date.
