Alice, TexasPhyllis Jean Sierman went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 8, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born in
Borger, Texas, on March 27, 1935, to Francis "Pat" Marion and Dixie Ruth Sierman. In 1954, she moved to Pampa, Texas, where she was a devoted mother. She later moved to Pearland, Texas, where she raised her family and welcomed her son, Cory Sierman. Following her years in Pearland, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she spent nine years as a nanny for two girls, Kate and Lauren. In 1999, she relocated to
Alice, Texas, where she resided until her passing. Despite her travels, she always considered the Panhandle home and visited whenever possible. Phyllis had a deep love for travel that took her to many destinations. In the early 1980s, she took numerous trips across South Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. She was well known for taking her grandchildren on adventures; notably, in 1999, she drove her recent high school graduates, Michele and Phillip, all the way to New York. For years, she enjoyed sharing stories about that trip, often remarking on how "crazy" she was to let them drive at such a young age. As she grew older, her travels were more limited to visiting family and friends, but she was always ready for a new journey. More than anything, Phyllis loved her family and cherished family gatherings. She delighted in bringing everyone together and sharing stories of her family's history. She continued to share these adventures until she was no longer able to do so with ease, and her storytelling always radiated joy. Her values of faith, family, and friendship will live on in the hearts of everyone she met. Phyllis was a dedicated member of West Main Baptist Church. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she sought to teach others about the Bible and the importance of faith. She attended church faithfully with her dear friend, Janice Ward. Phyllis always cherished their company and their many lunch dates. Even when Phyllis could no longer attend services regularly, Janice's visits remained a highlight of her day. The family wishes to thank Janice for her unwavering love and friendship. For the past year and a half, Phyllis was blessed with an amazing caregiver, Roxanne "Pebbles" Cavazos, who kept her company during her late-night adventures. Roxanne was a vital asset to Phyllis's care as she began to need more assistance. The family is deeply grateful for the love and care she provided. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Dixie Sierman; her brothers, Buddy Sierman and Richard "Dickie" Sierman; her sons, Dee Brown and Kim Brown; her daughter, Jan Sierman; her nephew, Johnny Sierman; her niece, Theresa Sierman; her grandson, Harley Brown; and her great-granddaughter, Madison Bowen.
She is survived by her children: Pat Brown (Donna) of Orange Grove, TX, and Cory Sierman (Madlyn) of
