Phyllis Smith Obituary
Phyllis graduated from Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia in 1966. Ms. Smith retired from the Social Security Administration after 42 years of service in 2010.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her younger sister Malinda Harrison and her parents. She enjoyed film noir movies from the 1940's, trying new restaurants for the first time and travel with her daughter and family whenever possible.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Sonya Barnes, her sister Clara Baker, nieces Sedena Baker, Chanel Baker and nephew Christopher Harrison. Great-nephews Jordan Baker, Mekhi Baker, and great-niece Justice Baker.
The daughter of Ms. Smith wishes to extend her sincere thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of Sentara Hospital of Woodbridge for the wonderful care given to her mother.
