Phyllis Jean Strackeljohn, born on July 25, 1937, in Garden City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Phyllis was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
Throughout her life, she poured her love into her family, leaving a profound impact on those around her. Phyllis is survived by her devoted children, Rickey L. Riddle, Jeanie R. Masterson, Brenda P. Riddle, Ross R. Riddle, and her half-brother, Todd Hurst. She cherished the joy of being a grandmother to her ten grandchildren and a great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense happiness and pride.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence S. Strackeljohn, her mother, Jenny Hurst, and her sister, Shirley Schreibvogel. Their memories lived on in her heart as she often spoke of them with love and fond remembrance.
As we reflect upon the beautiful life that Phyllis led, we remember a woman who embodied grace, resilience, and a boundless capacity for love. Her legacy will continue through her family, who carry forward her values and the joyful spirit that she so generously shared with everyone she met.
