Phyllis VanWinkle Obituary
Mrs. VanWinkle was born August 30, 1921 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of the late Arthur Gaylord and Vera Marlatt Anderson. She was retired from the U.S. Government.
Surviving is her son, William J. "Bill" VanWinkle, III (Nina) of Vienna; a daughter, Valerie VanWinkle Sears (Ernie) of Manassas; two grand-children, Courtney Sears (Brian Dietz) and Andy Sears (Jacqueline); three great-grandsons, Mack and Noah Dietz, Roscoe Sears; a beloved sister, Dorothy Anderson of Kansas City, Kansas; a number of nieces and nephews and their families in the Midwest. She was preceded in death by her husband William J. VanWinkle, Jr. and grandson, Ernest Matthew Sears.
A celebration of life will be conducted Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dr. A.J. Edwin Clever officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, under the direction of David Zimmerman.
