Pietje Doolaard Obituary
Pietje Troost was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and married Cornelis Doolaard in 1949. Following the water flood of 1953, Cornelis and Pietje decided to emigrate to the U.S., and they arrived in the Holland area with their three eldest children in 1955. They became members of East Saugatuck CRC. Pietje was preceded in death by her husband Cornelis, son Tony Doolaard, son-in-law John Judge III, grandson John Judge IV, and several family members in the Netherlands.
She is survived by her children, Trudy and Bill Krygsheld of Beecher, IL, John and Karen Doolaard of Holland, Corrie Judge of Hamilton, Nellie and Duane Timmer of Holland, Arie and Hope Doolaard of Holland, Maria and Ernie Peters of Hudsonville, Nettie and Dave Kooiker of Zeeland; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several sisters-in-law; nephews; and nieces in the Netherlands.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street in Holland, with Rev. Keith Mannes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in East Saugatuck Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the East Saugatuck Christian Reformed Church or to the Anne J. Krush Fund for FAP Research. Please visit www.lakeshorememorial.com to leave a message or memory for the Doolaard family.

Beautiful memories in all these years about our special tante Pie, also about our ome Kees, passed away already thirty years ago. Strenght to the whole Doolaard-family in America in this difficult time of greiving. Special thanks to Nettie and Arie for the contacts in this last year. The blessing of the Lord to you all.
