Pj Briggs Obituary
Mr. Paul L. "PJ" Briggs, Jr., 44 of Benton, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY, after a hard-fought health battle that he faced with strength and grace.
Born August 29, 1980, in Chaffee, MO, PJ was the son of Paul Lindsay Briggs, Sr. of Hampton, KY and the late Cynthia Lynn (Thompson) Burleson. He was a graduate of Marshall County High School, an employee of Benton Hardware, Benton, KY and was a member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church.
Those left to treasure memories of PJ include his father and step-mother, Paul L. (Beth Ann) Briggs, Sr. of Hampton, KY; cherished daughters, Kenzie Briggs and Kennadie Briggs, and their mother, Lindsey Briggs, all of Gilbertsville, KY; sisters, Cameron Jones, Candace Kreutztrager, and Brandy (Jimmy Lee) Scott, all of Murray, KY; brother-in-law, Keith Jones of Murray, KY; nieces, Ember Lee and Matie Walsh; nephews, Spencer Briggs, Reggie Jones, and Kalen Salyer; great niece and nephew, Bridget Briggs and Branch Briggs; aunts, Anita Morgan and Ashley Thompson; and cousins Drew, Matthew, and Tate.
He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Juanita and Lloyd Briggs, Janet and Joseph Thompson; and an uncle, Kevin Briggs.
A service celebrating PJ's life will be conducted Monday, June 9, 2025, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home in Murray, KY with Bro. Kenneth Puckett officiating.
Friends may visit with the family Monday, June 9, 2025, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 S. 4th St., Murray, KY 42071.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in PJ's name to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
