Placeres (Pat) Davidek, 98, of Cabot passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries. She was born Dec. 7, 1925, and was the only child of Manuel and Pilar (Urbano) Ruiz. Placeres graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1945, and went on to attend Franco Beauty Academy. She worked as a hairdresser, both self-employed and for Georgian Manor Nursing Home. Placeres was formerly from Brackenridge and Natrona Heights and lived a vibrant and fulfilling life. She enjoyed dancing, walking and exercising, reading and playing cards. Placeres loved to travel and was particularly proud of her Spanish heritage and delighted in trips to Spain with her husband. She also enjoyed spending winters along the ocean in Myrtle Beach and relaxing at their camp in Marienville. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Placeres was a member of Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights and was a past member of their Christian Mothers Group. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edward F. Davidek, on Jan. 8, 2013. She is survived by her children, Terry (Deb) Davidek of Natrona Heights and Laurie (Joe) Kopac of Cabot; grandchildren, Jason (Kim) Davidek, Kelly (Andy) McConville, Jim (Jen) Kopac, Joe (Shawn) Kopac and Casey (Dustin) Weber; great-grandchildren, Rocky and Abby Kopac, Ella and Julia McConville and Catherine, Alister and Elsie Davidek; and by her special caregiver, Angela Claypool. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights, with her pastor, the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
