Mark and Derick and family I am so sorry for your incredible loss. My sincere and heartfelt condolences. I haven´t seen Pola in 25 years, but my memories of her are worth a lifetime! As a teenager, she was a confidante, bestie, advice giver, lesson- teacher, tough love giver, great gossiper, hilarious, mom to us all. I considered her a second mom, back then. And even though Derick was my friend, I would often go over and just visit with Pola and hear her amazing stories about Cuba and listen to her advice. I will miss her. Her legacy will live on through her beautiful granddaughter. RIP to a truly wonderful woman

Polar was my classmate in high school. She always kept me laughing and we met up again years later at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton and she was still the same Polar. Her husband went to school with my Husband and Derek went to school with my Sons, that´s three generations! I am going to miss my friend. Rest peacefully
