STROH - Colleen Singleton Everidge, of Stroh, Indiana, passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at Lakeland Skilled Nursing Home in Angola, Indiana. She will be remembered for her kind heart, superior cooking and knitting skills, quiet curiosity and intelligence, as well as always putting her family first.
Mrs. Everidge was born on Feb. 12, 1929, daughter of the late Ida (Ritchie) Singleton and Linville Singleton in Perry County, Kentucky.
She met Eulaus Harold Everidge in Kentucky, and they were married shortly thereafter. They had two children, Kathleen Kim (Everidge) Meyer in 1955, and John F. Everidge in 1961. They both survive in LaGrange County.
She was employed at Dana Corporation in Angola, working alongside her beloved sisters-in-law until retirement.
In addition to her children, survivors include a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Everidge; five grandchildren, Christopher Meyer, of LaGrange County, Emily Meyer Mead, of Chattanooga Tennessee, Casey Everidge Acker, of Kendallville, Jon Everidge, of LaGrange and Lindsey Everidge, of LaGrange; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Heltzel, of Auburn, Isaac Ellis, of Kendallville and Brieah Acker, of Kendallville. She is also survived by two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Ada Mae Everidge, of Angola, Morris Combs, of Stroh and Ron (Nan) Everidge, of LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eulaus Harold Everidge, in 1967; her brother, Linville Singleton; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Everidge and Clyde Everidge; and three sisters-in-law, Gloria Everidge, Edith Singleton and Patty Everidge Combs. She was also preceded in death by her uncle, Willie Ritchie.
