Prentice married the love of his life Aileen on September 9, 1950. He was a pastor at Elizabeth Church on Wolf Creek for 27 years.
Prentice is survived by daughters Judy (Isaac) Fletcher of Pilgrim, KY, Joyce (Billy) Akers of Lexington, KY; sons, Billy Meade of Pilgrim, KY, Donnie (Loretta) Meade and Ronnie (Judith) Meade both of Inez, KY. Grandchildren: Kevin Akers, Alesha Collins, Krystle Cothran, Brandon Fletcher, Marshall Meade, Matthew Meade & Jessica Preece. Also survived by his great grandchildren: Chloe Adkins, Maxton Meade, Molly Meade, Collin Serafini, Chandler Preece, Luke Preece, Justin Cothran, Pazlee Fletcher, Lilah Fletcher & Kambria Fletcher. He is also survived by one sister, Betty Robinson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025 at Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, KY with Terry Hamm and Lonnie Smith officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00-9:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
