Presley Kay Deters went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, while at home, held close by her parents who cherished her.
Presley was born on February 23, 2026, in
Muskegon, Michigan, to her devoted parents, Chad and Nichole (Jorissen) Deters. From the moment she arrived, Presley was the most beautiful baby, with a full head of gorgeous dark hair. She was eagerly awaited by her family and especially by her big brothers.
Presley was born with Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa. Though she graced this world for only 16 days, those days were filled with love and tender moments that her family will treasure forever. She was surrounded every moment by the fierce love and care of her parents and family. In her short time here, she showed just how meaningful and powerful a tiny life can be.
Her big brothers, Crew and Jayce, ages 3 and 1, adored Presley with a love that was pure and immediate. They cherished every chance to be near her, showering her with kisses and snuggles, already forming a bond that will last forever in their hearts.
Presley loved being held close by her mom and dad and resting peacefully in their arms. One of the things that brought her comfort was having her hair gently washed or her head softly rubbed.
While Presley's body could not overcome the illness she was born with, her family finds peace in knowing she is now whole and free from pain, safely in the arms of Jesus.
Presley is survived by her loving parents, Chad and Nichole Deters; her big brothers, Crew and Jayce Deters; grandparents, John and Janet Deters and Gary and Anne Jorissen; great-grandparents, Jim and Joan Deters, Jean and Roger Jorissen, and Bob and Kay Dunn; aunts and uncles, Ashley (Matt) Lamphere, Kelli (Derek) VanBlargan, Bryce Jorissen, Logan Jorissen, and Kelsey Jorissen; and cousins Jordyn, Brynnley, Lincoln, and Jarett.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Beulah and Ernest Norwood.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, from 11am to 1pm at The Whitehall Chapel, 816 S. Mears Ave.,
Whitehall, MI 49461. Arrangements are being handled by The Whitehall Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services. In honor of Presley's beautiful life, guests are encouraged to wear light or cheerful colors rather than traditional black. Please consider signing the family's online guestbook and sharing memories at https://sytsemafh.com.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Presley's memory to support research towards a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) through the EB Research Partnership: https://give.ebresearch.org/give
