Early Sunday morning, September 8, 2024 God called the role unto Preston Anderson Senior and said come unto me all ye that labor in our heavy laden and I will give you rest. Preston graciously answered and departed to his heavenly home. Preston was born on February 12, 1944, in Madison Heights, Virginia to the late Margie Cooper, he was the husband too late Louise Jackson, Anderson, and later married Hazel Rucker Anderson. He was also proceeded in death by two sisters, Marianne Smith and Cleo and one brother, major Anderson and Jan Smith and Elizabeth Miller. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Scott Zion Baptist Church and was a member there. Preston was employed at Giles potato salad company for number of years and also was employed at Lynchburg college until he retired. He was a great father and friend to everyone. Love to plant his garden and his tomatoes Were so pretty and large, but he loved doing it. He leaves cherish his memories, a loving daughter, Rena Anderson of Houston, Texas, sons Derek Anderson of Houston, Texas, and Preston Anderson, Junior of Lynchburg, Virginia, Jeremy Jones wife Amber of Waynesboro Cy Jones of Lynchburg, Virginia, and Desmond jones of Lynchburg, Virginia, and 18 great grandchildren and he had a host of nieces and nephews relatives and friends, sister-in-law, Sally love of Marilyn, brother-in-law, Alfonso, Leftwich, and two stepsons, Reverend Donald Rucker and Elvis Rucker
