Joyce, Laura and Nancy,

As you know, my folks met Preston almost 60 years ago when we lived in Portsmouth, Virginia. Susan and Laura were about 2 years old, I was a toddler, and Nancy was about 5 months old. We moved to the DC area, and almost on cue, his job brought all of us back into this ever changing large backyard called Northern Virginia. We eventually ended up at Fourth Presbyterian in Bethesda, Maryland. We were all the "Hebrews from Virginia crossing over", as Dad said.
You retired, well, relocated, to Savannah. Not too many years later my folks followed this time. It was Preston who invited Dad to the Landings Men's Bible Study 21 years ago, and one he still attends every Monday. They saw you leave Savannah for Waynesboro, and we visited you a few times over the years. In all of the comings and goings, I am so very grateful and honored that my, and our family's path crossed with Preston's. He was unique, as one of the few, great Southern gentlemen. He will be missed by our family, but greatly remembered for his love of family, his gardens, his friends, and his love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

God bless you and keep you,

Love,

John

Mrs. Bannister, I will never forget the wonderful stories that Mr. Bannister would tell me of your wonderful life together. What a blessing that God has givin you both many joyous years together. Please call if you need anything at all. I'm praying for you and the family. We all know where Pres is - with our Lord and Savior! ~Amy at Dr.Breams

Joyce,
David & I will always remember Pres and his puttering around in his garden across the street at the Landings. We enjoyed the fruits of his labor. What a wonderful life you two have had together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
