Priscilla Sinclair Boyette passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026 at the age of 90. Priscilla Ann Sinclair was born in
St. Petersburg, Florida on September 22, 1935 to the late William Flaudia (WF) and Pearl Tucker Sinclair. After graduating from St. Pete High School, Pris attended beauty school and became a cosmetologist. She worked doing hair until she met and married her husband, Dale Boyette. The two married in January of 1960 and promptly moved to Naples, Italy, where Dale was stationed in the United States Navy.
Throughout their early years of marriage, they welcomed three sons as they traveled to duty stations around the United States. They eventually returned to Live Oak where they settled down to raise their family. After Dale's retirement from the Navy, she became an integral part of their family-owned businesses, Boyette's Grocery and Boyette's Pecan Company. She loved the Lord, adored her family and her beautiful soul was the heart of their home.
Known for her creative talents, she could often be found decorating elaborate birthday cakes for her grandkids, crocheting beautiful doilies, playing hymns on the piano and singing along, or taking ordinary things and crafting them into something special. Her lemon meringue pies and chocolate delight were always embellished beautifully because in her words, "you eat with your eyes first!" She was a true night owl and would often do her house chores and put puzzles together into the early morning hours. She had a green thumb and loved spending time in her yard and tending her garden until her health declined. In her later years, you could find her in her chair with a cup of coffee and a word search book or a puzzle, greeting everyone who came through her doors with a smile, chuckle and a hug. Her beauty radiated from the inside out and her calm, gentle and loving spirit never wavered.
She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church where she served faithfully for many years. A fixture in the kitchen cooking Wednesday night suppers and occasionally playing the organ, her love of the Lord was evident in everything she did and how she loved others so well.
Pris was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Franklin Dale Boyette; her parents; her son, Ronald Lyn "Ronnie" Boyette; her siblings Eustice (Lily) Sinclair, Evelyn (Robert) Brumfield, Elsie (Orlan) Passman and Clayton Sinclair.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Boyette (Shari) and Randall "Randy" Boyette, Sr. (Cindy) of Live Oak; four grandchildren, Adrienne Boyette Sandlin (Blake) of Statenville, GA, Randall Boyette, Jr. (Haley) of Live Oak, Marshanna Boyette Hall (Cameron) of Gainesville and Josh Boyette of Live Oak; and five great-grandchildren, Slade and Wren Hall, Reed and Rebecca Boyette, Turner Sandlin; and many beloved family members who she adored.
Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00 am at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Wally Weaver and Reverend Josh Chambers officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at 10:00 at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
